Set up SiliconForge and open a project

Choose the right package, verify it, then open a reproducible digital RTL example. No source upload or AI account is needed to follow this setup guide.

Downloading does not purchase or activate a subscription. First activation needs internet; then paid local work can continue offline through your verified paid term. Review plans and license boundaries.

Step 1

Which operating system?

This guide runs locally in your browser. Your selection is not sent anywhere.

Step 2

Confirm your CPU architecture.

We do not infer architecture from your browser. On Windows, check Settings → System → About → System type. On Linux, run uname -m: x86_64 means AMD64 and aarch64 means ARM64.

Supported package targets: Windows x64, Linux AMD64 (x86-64), Linux ARM64 (AArch64). These names do not guarantee every distribution or machine is compatible. Check platform boundaries.

All published targets are shown until you explicitly choose an architecture.

Step 3

Download and verify the package

Choose the matching package below. Compare its complete SHA-256 and signature before opening it. The download links work without JavaScript.

Choose the package for your operating system and processor.

Published checksums · Full signature verification instructions · All downloads and package boundaries

A mismatch means stop.

Do not bypass a signature warning. Keep the expected and observed hashes and ask support for help, without sending credentials or private source.

Step 4

Install the verified package.

Windows x64

  1. Use PowerShell Get-FileHash to compare the downloaded installer’s SHA-256.
  2. Check Get-AuthenticodeSignature or the file’s Digital Signatures tab and compare the publisher with the verification instructions.
  3. Run the verified installer. Open SiliconForge from the Start menu.
  4. Keep projects outside the installation directory. The supported Windows AI connection uses an isolated WSL route configured separately.

Linux AMD64 or ARM64

  1. Run sha256sum on the exact downloaded archive and compare every character with its published entry.
  2. Verify its signature using the linked verification material and installation guide.
  3. Extract into a new user-owned directory and keep the packaged runtime together.
  4. Open AppRun from a working graphical desktop session.

Start with the platform-specific engineering tools recorded in your application package inventory. Check tool readiness and configure only missing requirements; included tools have separate licenses, and a missing-tool diagnostic does not mean your RTL has passed or failed. Native Verible and dedicated Windows WSL setup may still be needed for the selected workflow.

Step 5

Open the example and run a check

Use the small stream-register example, not confidential source. It includes an assertion-based testbench with a reproducible pass and a deliberate failure to inspect. This exercise is separate from the packet revision in the launch film.

Example archive checksum

  1. Launch SiliconForge normally and choose Subscription… to activate. Choose Try an example… and Create and open for your own safe copy. For an extracted ZIP use Open project….
  2. Review the source files, selected top and diagnostics; configure the external tools described in the guide.
  3. Choose Run checks in the application and inspect the new result and waveform. Then make the documented deliberate change and inspect the failure.

Choose when to connect an AI provider. The external CLI and context approval are separate steps; never paste credentials into this website. Read the AI setup and approval guide.
