Keep your download record.
Keep the version, filename and checksum with your installation. Open “Verify this download” on the download page for the matching signature and verification instructions.
Before an update
- Read the target version's limitations and platform notes.
- Preserve project source, evidence and the previous installation.
- Verify the replacement artifact before closing the app and installing.
- Open a representative project and run a known small check before continuing important work.
An application rollback and a project-source rollback have different effects. Only use an earlier installer when it is listed as an available release.

Version 0.1.1 adds checks for published release availability at most daily. Check download availability before assuming this version is released. Turn this off or run a manual check in About SiliconForge / updates. Checks send no project files or account details and never install anything. Network providers still see ordinary request information such as your IP address.
